Joe takes such pride in being a firefigher. He’s been a Norfolk firefighter for almost 13 years and he STILL loves his job! Our friends Lynn and Todd stopped by Station 1 on Saturday afternoon to visit my hubby-to-be and gave their kids (Coal and Coral) a tour of the station! Doesn’t he look so HOT in his uniform! I just want to…okay, I’ll keep this PG…KISS him!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both! It depends on the gift size. I am pretty horrible at wrapping gifts so sometimes the gift bag is a better option for me.

2. Real tree or Artificial? REAL! I used to put up the Artificial tree when I was a single lady. Now that I have a big firefighter to hassle with the real tree…we do the real thing.
 
3. When do you put up the tree?  This year we put it up the day after Thanksgiving. I think we will make it a tradition.
 
4. When do you take the tree down? Probably the weekend after New Year’s! The pine needles are already starting to get on my nerves.

5. Do you like eggnog?  Ehh…it’s alright. UNLESS it is made by Ernie (our Engineer guy!) I have NO idea what he puts in his recipe but it is AMAZING.
 
6. Favorite Christmas gift received as a child? A Huffy Bike that I had been bugging my parents for. They put a bed sheet over it under the tree (nice touch!)
 
7. Hardest people/person to buy for?  My Dad. Mr. Practical I Have Everything Don’t Waste Your Money Man.

8. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes! A little one that my mom gave me a few years ago. 

9. Mail or email Christmas cards? Well, I had wanted to send out Christmas cards this year but it jus didn’t happen. Between planning the wedding, work, life etc…I didn’t get to it. I know, I stink. SO- email it is! 

10.Worst Christmas gift you ever received? What’s the deal with bad sweaters? I just don’t understand…NO ONE wants them or wears them!

11. Favorite Christmas Movie?  Miracle on 34th Street. OR ELF! “Smilings my FAVORITE.”
 
12. When do you start shopping for Christmas?  Last minute. That’s me! Miss Procrastinator.

13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Would it be bad if I said YES!?

14. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?  My mom’s Christmas Dinner that she fixes. SOOO GOOD. I come back 10lbs heavier.
 
15. Lights on the tree?  Yes to lights! This year we only have white…I know, boring.
 
16. Favorite Christmas song? Carol of the Bells because a Ukrainian wrote it! Ukrainians stick together!

17. Travel at Christmas or stay home?  We usually travel or go to Joe’s parents house. Until we get a bigger place…we will be traveling! You can’t smoosh tons of people into a condo.
 
18. Can you name all 9 of Santa’s reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Dopey, Doodad…Okay, so obviously not.

19. Angel on the tree top or a star?  Angel! She watches over us.

20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas day?  Christmas Day! You only get to shake gifts on Christmas Eve!

21. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? People forget the true meaning of Christmas.

22. Favorite ornament theme or color?  Homemade ornaments!

23. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Chicken, celebration potatoes, glazed baby carrots, string bean cassarole…I told you my mom does it big!  
 
24. What do you want for Christmas this year? Laminate floors. But honestly…I just really want everyone to be healthy and happy.

So I don’t have enough stamps to send EVERYBODY a Christmas Card from me and Sexy Jim, but I got a bone to pick about that by the way.  Did ya know that it cost more to put a friggin’ stamp on my cards than it cost to make them??  I never mail anything anymore, probably like most of you, I just pay bills on-line, etc.  It’s just once a year that I have to pay for a stamp, so it’s not too bad, but the boogers are 42 cents apiece now!  Sheesh!

Anyhoo, since I couldn’t send you all a card, I figured I’d just post it here.  These are some of the shots that my friend Todd took for us.  He’s awesome!  This is Noel and Todd on her 1st birthday party back in February.  Yes, Todd, I have more recent pictures of you, but #1 this is too friggin’ cute and #2, I still haven’t had time to upload the Thanksmas pictures   booooo Trishy!!

Remember when Akon tossed a teenage boy from the stage, and into the crowd, during a concert back in June of last year? Well, he’s now off the hook for that incident and basically, all he got was a slap on the wrist. Yesterday, he pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree harassment. In exchange, a second, more serious charge, endangering the welfare of a child, was dropped. Akon was sentenced to 65 hours of community service, which will be spent warning kids about the dangers of violence and gang-life, and a $350 fine. According to reports, the (now) 16-year-old victim, Anthony Smith, went up to Akon afterwards, shook his hand, and told him, “Thanks a lot.” Akon responded by apologizing but was interrupted by Anthony’s father who scolded him, saying, “You threw my son off the stage.”  His mother added, “I could have killed you for throwing my son like that.” At that point, Akon just looked at Anthony and said, “We never had a chance to talk.” 

Sources are saying that Kate Walsh’s marriage broke up because her husband of 14 months, one Alex Young, was jealous of Kate’s relationship with one of her “Private Practice” co-stars.  That co-star would be David Sutcliffe who plays her love interest on the show (Officer Kevin Nelson). A source says, “Kate really likes David, and knowing that didn’t help Alex’s fragile ego.  Kate and David had a real connection playing lovers on the show, and she didn’t seem to have that with her own husband.”

Remember innocent little Jodie Sweetin who played Stephanie Tanner on “Full House”? She matured into a full-blown alcoholic and meth addict then kicked her addiction, got married and started a family. Sadly, the story doesn’t end there.  Earlier this year, Stephanie split with her husband, Cody Herpin.  And now, she’s been legally barred from being alone with her own child. At an emergency custody hearing yesterday, a judge ruled that Jodie must be supervised by one of her parents whenever she has custody of her 8-month-old daughter Zoie because she allegedly drove drunk with the baby in her car. Jodie’s doctor took the stand in her defense yesterday.  He testified that Jodie did fall off the wagon but that she has been in touch with her sponsor, and is attending AA meetings.  He said he doesn’t believe Jodie is a danger to her child. But Herpin’s attorneys who called for yesterday’s emergency meeting suggested they were concerned that Jodie might be using meth again.  Jodie’s attorney strongly denied that. A follow-up hearing will be held in February.  Between then and now, both Jodie and Cody must undergo drug tests.

On Justin Timberlake’s album “Future Sex/Love Sounds,” T.I. jumped on a his track called “My Love” And then, Justin has returned the favor by lending his voice on T.I.’s album “Paper Trail” in a song called “Dead and Gone” but now there is a new T.I./J.T. combo track called “If I.” There’s no word yet where the song will end up officially, but I hope you didn’t miss it this morning on the Z Morning Zoo!  That’s okay, listen to it again right now…

Yesterday, the “New York Daily News” reported that Katy Perry’s boyfriend, Gym Class Heroes singer Travis McCoy, popped the question recently while they were hanging out in Paris. I guess Travis did it by kissing Katy, with the engagement ring hidden in his mouth! In other Katy news, she was recently interviewed by “Fabulous” magazine and said, “I say what I think.  I’m a real person, not some manufactured pop tart who’s afraid to step out of the hotel room.  I am flawed.  I swear, I have the occasional cocktail, I pick my nose and I fart.  I’m not running for any presidential campaign at the moment.  I’m a sassy girl.”

Demi Lovato co-starred with The Jonas Brothers in “Camp Rock” and then went on tour with them.  But she says her relationship with Joe, Kevin and Nick is, was and always will be platonic. She tells “Seventeen” magazine, “I’ve never kissed a Jonas Brother, period.  That would be kind of weird.  Even in ‘Camp Rock’, Joe and I never kissed. We’re all friends.  But they’re not the type of guys that I’d be into dating or else I’d be dating one. They’ve become like brothers to me.  I even put on my glasses and wear sweatpants around them because you wouldn’t put makeup on for just your brothers.” Demi says that of the three, she’s closest to 19-year-old Joe. Demi is 16. But her best friend is, of course, fellow Disney Channel kid Selena Gomez. She says, “I’ll meet other actors who are like, ‘Let’s go to a party.’  But Selena and I would rather rent a horror movie and just eat pickles.  That’s our ideal sleepover.”

“In Touch Weekly” says that Clay Aiken and his special female friend, Jaymes Foster, are planning to reproduce once again.  A source says, “Clay’s sperm is already frozen and Jaymes has started taking vitamins.” Their first child, Parker Foster Aiken, is only four months old.

Brandy has been hit with her fourth wrongful death lawsuit over that four-car accident she was involved in back in 2006.  A man who was injured in the crash accuses Brandy of, “negligence, carelessness and recklessness.” He’s also suing the woman who died in the crash, a married mother of two named Awatef Aboudihaj.  It was a collision between cars driven by Brandy and Aboudihaj that sparked the accident.  There’s no word how much he’s seeking. The other three lawsuits Brandy is facing are from relatives of Aboudihaj.  Prosecutors decided not to file charges against Brandy, by the way which isn’t going to help any of the cases against her.

Well look at me, Tricia Delicia, posting a blog with a child in it that IS NOT NOEL!!  I guess I’m not completely biased and that other people’s children can be cute too!  Ha ha!  I found these on you tube and wanted to make sure everyone else saw them!  Adorable…
