Over the past few weeks, the ratings for “Jon and Kate Plus Eight” have plummeted so TLC has decided to shake things up a ittle bit. Yesterday, the network announced that Jon Gosselin will be phased out of the show and beginning on November 2nd, it’ll be renamed “Kate Plus Eight”. TLC President Eileen O’Neill released a statement explaining the change. She said, “Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family. The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it.”  The focus of the show will now shift to following Kate’s new life as a single mother.  Although Jon will no longer be a regular part of the show, he will still make occasional appearances. TLC has also confirmed that they’re developing an additional show with Kate. There aren’t any details yet, just that it could premiere sometime next year. Neither Jon nor Kate have commented on this, but it sounds like Jon will be relieved. A source tells E! Online that Jon is, “fed up” with the show, and has been trying to get out of his contract all summer. The source adds that Jon is ticked off at TLC for, “exploiting his family” and would like to, “never have to do that show again.” I’m assuming that the “exploitation” is referring to how they handled his split with Kate, because up until then he didn’t seem to have a problem being on TV and cashing checks from TLC. In conveniently related news, Jon will be on “Larry King Live” tomorrow night. Maybe he’ll talk about how he’s filed paperwork to “put the brakes” on his divorce, or at least stall dissolution of his marriage by 90 days. He wants to meet with Kate to determine the future course of the family. He hopes to show the court he’s a good father to his 8 children.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom may not be legally married yet in the Big Fat Rumor of the Day and won’t be until their prenup is hashed out. Supposedly, lawyers for both sides are already at each other’s throats over the terms of the agreement. The word is that E! wanted the wedding to take place by Sunday so they could film it for Khloe and Kourtney’s reality show.  But Lamar’s people weren’t going to let an actual, legal marriage take place until the prenup was signed. They didn’t have time to work one out before Sunday, so they threw together a fake wedding. Technically, it still is just speculation. There’s no official confirmation of any of it. Not surprisingly, Khloe and Lamar say they are married. During a Lakers press conference yesterday, Lamar said,  “It was real. Anybody that was there will tell you that it was a beautiful event and it was real.” Meanwhile, both Khloe and Lamar’s reps say the marriage was legal and binding. E! announced that the wedding will not air on Khloe’s new reality show, “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami”. It’ll air on her old reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. Mark your calendar, it goes down Sunday, November 8th.

Kristin Cavallari and John Mayer recently denied rumors that they were in a “friends-with-benefits” relationship. But Kristin now says John tried to get her into bed and she denied him. Kristin says she only met John briefly, and he asked her out. But she says, “I just feel like I don’t need to be another notch on his belt.” Although she added, “He’s a really nice guy.”

“Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Karina Smirnoff’s new Fancast blog entry reveals that a romance may be developing on the set. Her partner, Aaron Carter, confesses he has a crush on another pro, Chelsie Hightower. He hopes she doesn’t already have a boyfriend. Kathy Ireland and Debi Mazar were the bottom two on “Dancing With the Stars.” When all was said and done, it was Kathy Ireland going home.

Kanye West is checking himself into an alcohol rehab program in the Big Fat Rumor of the Day! Many sources said he’d like to take care of this problem once he and Lady Gaga wrap up their “Fame Kills” tour. To top that off, Kanye had a fit Saturday night over food service before his surprise appearance at Common’s benefit concert in Hollywood. As the story goes, Kanye arrived in the green room minutes before he was set to appear as the last act. “Kanye walked in and noticed a guy eating chicken. He took offense and blurted petulantly ‘Why wasn’t I offered chicken? It’s not fair – you want me to perform for free – everyone is eating – why am I not eating?’ “A waiter apologized and pointed out ‘You didn’t ask for chicken!’ Well, I’m asking now!” Other celebrities watched his tantrum in total shock, while his girlfriend Amber Rose just stepped back and let him rant. The waiter rushed him a plate of chicken and Kanye literally took one bite and dumped it before he grabbed the mic and went onstage, leaving everyone shaking their heads.” What a diva!

A website has released the alleged salaries of the stars on “The Hills” and not surprisingly, they’re pulling down some major cash. Lauren Conrad, who left during the first part of the current season, had been the highest paid actress on the show.  And her contract made sure of that, with a clause saying that no other “Hills” star’s salary could match hers. She was making $125,000 per episode. The past two seasons have included 20 episodes, so that means LC was making around $2.5 million a season. Here are the numbers for some other cast members: Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge and Lauren “Lo” Bosworth earn $100,000 an episode, or $2 million a season. Former “Laguna Beach” star Kristin Cavallari, who just joined “The Hills” to replace Lauren Conrad will make $90,000 an episode, or $1.8 million a season. Spencer Pratt rakes in $65,000 per episode, or $1.3 million a season. He makes less than Heidi because he was just promoted to a “regular” last year. But he and Heidi can make an additional $30,000 each for “personal appearances.” And Brody Jenner is paid $45,000 per episode, or $900,000 a season.

Kim Kardashian started feeling all romantic after watching sister Khloe and Lamar Odem get married on Sunday and now she’s back with New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. Kim wasn’t fooling around, either. She literally hopped a flight to New Orleans right after the wedding. A source says, “The wedding made her miss him, so she flew to see him.” The Saints played the Buffalo Bills Sunday in Buffalo. There’s no word when Reggie was expected back in New Orleans.

Miley Cyrus will make a cameo appearance in “Sex and the City 2.” She and Kim Cattrall’s character Samantha show up wearing the same dress to a red-carpet event. The scene is just visual. She won’t be performing. The movie will be released May 28th.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom really did get married yesterday, at the home of a family friend in Beverly Hills. Kim was walked down the aisle by stepfather Bruce Jenner, along with sisters Kim and Kourtney, who were both maids of honor. Guests included Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Osbourne, Chelsea Handler and several of Lamar’s teammates, Ron Artest, Luke Walton, Derek Fisher and most notably Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa, along with coach Phil Jackson. However, Lamar’s two young children from a previous mama were not there. It was a formal affair and they even banned BlackBerries. Not surprisingly, cameras were rolling to capture the festivities for the E! reality show “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami”. Oh, and Ryan Seacrest said he’s seriously thinking about producing a new reality show about Khloe and Lamar. Word is that Lamar will ask Khloe to sign a post-nuptial agreement. It would have been a prenup, but there wasn’t time to put it together before the wedding. And the pressure was on to have the wedding yesterday, due to the shooting schedule of Khloe’s reality show.

Over the weekend, there were some reports claiming that Fabolous was in a nasty car accident this weekend. Fabolous denied the accident rumors on his Twitter account although he admitted he got sick while driving, and thinks he might have been poisoned. In several consecutive posts, he wrote, “Wow! I’m OK everyone. Thanks for the concern. I was not in a car accident, but I think I know where it started. Let me explain, I was drivin yesterday morning & started feeling very sick & felt like I was gon pass out while driving so I veered off to the side of the road. I had a ambulance called and they picked me up from the side of the road. Maybe that’s where the car accident confusion came from. I believed I was poisoned so I checked in & was given medical treatment. I’m a little sedated so I didn’t tweet but was released to go late last nite. Again thanks for your concern & prayers. I’m ok, no car accident, jus a lil sick. Imma shake it off and GO IN on somebody later LOL!!

In the Big Fat Rumor of the Day, you might have heard that Soulja Boy was engaged to a model named Rosa Acosta. We’ll I’m here to tell you, don’t believe it. Rosa’s manager issued a statement saying, “So the story is that the proposal is false. Miss Acosta is still very much single.” Soulja Boy also responded to the rumor posting a message on Twitter saying, “LOL.” I’m sorry, are you sure that wasn’t “LOL Smiley Face”??

The CW has cancelled “The Beautiful Life”, which starred Mischa Barton, Elle MacPherson and Corbin Bleu, after just two low-rated episodes. The show only attracted 1.5 million people for its premiere and 1.1 million people for last Wednesday’s episode. It’ll be replaced by repeats of the CW’s new “Melrose Place”, which is also struggling in the ratings.

It’s a gloomy Sunday.  Before I go on the air in a bit I’m gonna make myself something yummy for when I get home.  Yes people…I can cook a little! (Granted this is a very simple recipe).  Every man has to have a couple of stew type recipes in their repertoire right?

Thick Beef Stew for the cookin playa

2.5 lb stew meat
¼ cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 cups water
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic salt
¾ tsp pepper
¼ tsp ground allspice
2 bay leaves
4 carrots shaved
4 medium size red potatoes
3 small onions
1 can of early peas
3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
3 Tbsp water

All this is done is a few stages.  Please leave a comment about this recipe and let me know what you think!

Stage one: (The longest one too)

Place stew meat and ¼ cup flour in a plastic bag; seal bag, and shake vigorously to coat. (It’s like Shake and bake…”And I helped”)
Pour oil into a large Dutch oven; place over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef, and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned.
Add 4 cups water and next 6 ingredients; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 2 hours or until tender. (can get away with an hour)

Stage two:

Cut carrots into 1/2 inch lengths. Peel potatoes; cut potatoes and onions into eighths. Add carrots, potatoes, and onions to beef mixture; cover and simmer 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Stage three:

Drain can of early peas and add to the mix.  Put them in too early and it will cook too much and make mashed pea soup. yuck.  Combine 3 tablespoons flour and 3 tablespoons water, stirring well; stir into stew. Bring to a boil; boil stirring constantly, 1 minute or until thickened and bubbly.

By the way….The recipe is good for two people for two days.  After I’m done with day one I put it in the fridge for warming up the next day.  For some reason I SWEAR it’s better the second day.  Just warm it up very slowly on the stove.

I was going to do a cooking video blog but I have to go on the air shortly and for all you that know about video editting…It just doesnt happen that quick….(Damn rendering).
