But they will get the job done. I’ve got to drag in my patio furniture & my husbands surf boards. Yes, plural. Boards. I think he has…5 surf boards total! He’s a total surf nut & has been surfing everyday since this past weekend because of Earl!

1- Get back on track with eating healthy & working out. Joe and I have been traveling so much this summer (and we’ve had a lot of guests come through too) that it has been hard to stay on a healthy path! I have decided that I am going to become more consistent about going to Hot Yoga! This Summer I’ve been so sporadic with my attendance (no good!) and I can feel myself become weaker & have felt waistline expanding (not good, not good at all!) I feel like a marshmellow!

2- Get organized. Half the time I can’t find anything AND I feel like I am constantly flying by the seat of my pants! I need to get my calender in order & keep up with plans that I have made. I’m not typically an organized person but it’s getting to the point where I feel like I am driving myself coo coo…so time to get ORGANIZED. Anyone want to help me!? HA!

3- Save MORE money! I want a house. Bad. I am tired of my condo neighbors who think it’s cool to bang around and throw stuff around into the night. I really have no idea what they’re doing over there & I am not sure I want to know…but it is LOUD and I’m over it. Plus, we need more space. Two dogs, two adults, a little one, and a cat…lots of people/animals crammed into one space at the same time.

4- This one is random. Send more cards. I love getting mail…like REAL mail that you can OPEN with your hands (not mail that you open via your inbox on the computer!) I just think it shows people that you truly care. You care so much that you took the time to go pick out a card, write in it, buy stamps and send it off on its merry way! There’s just something special about getting mail from people that you care about.

Anyway, hopefully I can keep up with my Fall Resolutions! Have a great week!

 I am SO excited! My very amazing friend, Heather is arriving at Norfolk Int. Airport at 8:50pm TONIGHT! Heather worked at one of our sister radio stations in the building and moved to Atlanta a little over a year ago for another radio job! When she worked here we became incredibly close friends. I miss her terribly. This is the first time that she’s coming back into town (I saw her back in March in Atlanta) and I am excited to spend the time with her!

 We have some fun plans…Girls Night Out is happening tomorrow night. We’re starting at Havana’s for some of their famous nachos & then we’re headed to Sky Bar at the Oceanfront! I’ve talked about the nachos at Havana’s before…if you haven’t had them- you are MISSING OUT!

 Then on Saturday we’re going to be total BEACH BUMS! You will find us sunning ourselves for hours on end…just enjoying the weather! Not sure what is in store for Saturday night, but I am sure we will find something to get into!

I have to give a HUGE shout out to all the FIRE FIGHTERS from ALL 7 cities! Maybe you’ve seen them out & about this week…on various street corners & stop lights…well- they are collecting money for the MDA! It’s time to FILL THE BOOT!

It’s a drop in the boot and it makes a big difference in the lives of people with Muscular Dystrophy! All of the money raised benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association. So PLEASE HELP OUT! My hubby, Firefighter Joe, will be out in Norfolk on St. Paul’s Blvd. tomorrow morning! Feel free to stop, say hi, pinch his booty…and place some money in the boot! OK…maybe I was kidding about the pinching the booty part! Ha! He’s the one in the top right hand corner! But seriously, every little bit helps out!

Things I am currently obsessed with…

 Obsession #1: This OPI nail color I discovered at the nail salon yesterday…Russian NAVY! I love it. I know it’s dark~ but like I mentioned earlier- I’m ready for FALL! It’s from a 2007 collection…but every time I look down at my nails I just fall in love with it all over again.

Obsession #2:

Sephora’s Pink Grapefruit Sorbet body scrub & body creme. I LOVE the way it smells! I feel SO refreshed after I use it. Seriously, delicious!

Obsession #3: NERD ALERT! NERD ALERT! Kristin Hannah books. If you plan on traveling anywhere for the Labor Day weekend & you’re looking for a GREAT read- check out ANY of her books. LOVE them. I’ve read 4 of her books so far and I have yet to be disappointed. I told you- NERD!!! You can find them at Target! 

Obsession #4: Smashbox Fall 2010 Masquerade collection. I purchased the eye shadow palette and the O-glass noir. Simply amazing. The O-glass is pretty amazing…after you start rubbing it on your lips…THEN it changes color. It’s hard to explain- but I’m excited to use it as it starts to get cool outside.

Obsession #5:Usher’s Versus Usher album. Pop it into your CD player and I guarantee that you will have that mess on REPEAT. If you love upbeat (more club like songs) then this will be a WIN for you!!

Our cat, Snoopy (he came with the name) was found behind a dumpster by a cat rescue group. One day we wandered into the rescue (big mistake because you never leave empty handed) and decided his forever home should be with US! He’s the sweetest, most loving cat there is.

Last but not least…we have Nala. Nala was not a rescue (I bought her from a breeder) but I DO have a soft spot for Pekes aka pekingese pups. She’s part peke and part toy poodle- otherwise known as a peke-a-poo!

One of my BFF’s (Biggie Molls) Mom runs a Peke rescue! Linda is an amazing woman who works to rehabilitate these poor animals that have been abandoned, abused & are in poor health. She helps them find their forever homes and fosters them until they do. I really can’t give enough kudos & props to her. She’s simply amazing. Anyway, the other day they took in 15 Pekes!!! Yes, fifteen. They came from a back yard breeder and they were all neglected horribly. They lived in crates their entire lives. Just look at them…

And then taking the LONGEST nap EVER!! No alarm will be set…I will be snuggling with my Zoo! Moose, Nala and Snoopy. They all crawl onto the bed after I fall asleep typically.

I’ve been craving their food in a bad way recently. Especially one of their CREPES! No wonder my hiny is so big! HA! Doesn’t it just look sinful!?

OH! That or convince him to go see Inception. I am pretty sure we’re the only people on the planet that have not seen that movie so far. Have you seen it? What did you think??
