   Ok, kids can be melodramatic, for sure, but I’ve always heard (for babies who can’t talk yet) if you’re hot, the baby is probably hot. If you’re thirsty, and need a drink of water, the children probably need some water too. I can understand her saying no, to wait until there was a break in filming and to observe that herself, but to take water herself and refuse it for her child is ridiculous. If nothing else, it should be a wake-up call when her own child legitimately calls her mean for taunting her with the water.

   mady’s a brat, if you watched the rest of the seasons you’d know that shes a bit over dramatic. & if you have children you’d know that you can’t give one child something without giving the others some too.

   This is unreal. I can not believe that. Kate has turned in to a greedy bitch. She rather get 20,000 an interview then take a break from reality tv and fix her marriage. Its sad that Kate is not only depriving her kids of water but also a healthy family life

   There wasn’t anything bad about that. Just like Ashley said, you can’t give one child something without the rest, and I’m sure the interview wasn’t that long. None of the other children were complaining, and Mady really is a brat. Those children are obviously not neglected or mistreated. You all try to handle 8 kids all by yourself and see if you are still sane. I can barely do it with 2.

   I agree if you watch the entire show since season one you will see that out of all 8 children Mady is by far the worse one and is never satisfied or happy with anything she complains about everything. And if you would have watched the show you would know that if Kate gave Mady some water then the others would have started complaining about how thirsty they are (even though 5 minutes before they were perfectly okay) and it would have been total meltdown. Im sure what they did not show on this little clip that after the tapping each of them got probably got their own individual waters. I hate the media they only show things that are bad or that they can manipulate the public to percieve as bad,

   The people who are trying to say that Mattie is a brat so she should not have water is really mean, (but not as mean as Kate.) Even if Mattie is a brat she should have given Mattie and all her kids water are waited to drink water until she the interview was over. What she was saying was I am important so I can drink water, but your basic needs can wait.
